Was having a conversation the other day with an electrician that wants to rank at the top of Google.
He was happy to go with it, but didn't fully see the ROI from being in the top 3, and so I told him... That every single month, can you imagine? eeeeevery month it's the same.
every single month 100 people search for electricians in his area. Isn't that amazing?
And now that we know that, it means that roughly every month 100 people want to get some electrical stuff done soon, maybe the same day they search.
So knowing this information, it makes sense to rank at the top because that gives us roughly 20-30% chance to get picked by someone, so that's at least 25 people visiting the site that are interested in these services.
So 25 is way better than 0, aaaaand by being at the top, it all compounds, because
you're not at the top for 1 month only, usually you stay there for months and months and mooooooonths, and maybe even YEARS.
That happens and we see it all day in so many industries.
So after this explanation that I gave to the electrician, it clicked in his mind that this is a very good investment for him.
Also, the VERY nice thing about it is that, this is cheaper than running ads, because for ads you pay Google and as soon as you stop, Google removes you from the top.
That's the explanation that we give to most of our clients during calls, and most of them see the ROI of why being in the top 3 is so important and will be even more important as AI gets used by everyone.
That should be one of your top priorities if you're a local business owner, so you don't rely on referrals anymore, and you can actually scale.
